are there any plans to support autocad 2005 files?

dwgdirect to support autocad 2005
dwgdirect, the open design alliance's advanced program library, will support reading dwg and dxf files created by autocad 2005 when it is released. software developers using dwgdirect are expected to be able to provide support for these newer version files without making any changes to their software.
i have a few notes. ac2005 file format was not changed but sometimes there is slight difference between "read" and "support". as for viewer applications and converters based on dd vectorization functionality clients realy would not need to make changes in their code. but importing dwg 2005 into a cad application client would need to support new features in his code.
some examples:
-mtext in 2005 can have background.
-new entity table appeared.
-layers have "description" property and can be combined into groups.
