when i call explode() on an object of type oddbdimension, the method returns ecannotexplodeentity. why not?

you can use oddbdimension: imblockid(). it will return the id of the anonymous block which you can iterate and explore.

can you give more details or codes about explod of dimension?

oddbdimension may refuse to explode if it doesn't have dimension block computed. i think, it is misfunction of dd. in 1.14 it is fixed.
