in my application i need to read data from opendesign in mesh form.
is there any api which generates mesh from 3d solid?
or anyone know, is it possible to do by using acis?

i would like to explain my concern here..
i have oddbentity, suppose it is 3dsolid, and from this entity i need to get mesh data..
so how can i do that?

there are a lot of topics related to mesh generation from a 3dsolid in the forum. please, look at method void cdwgview::oneditacisconversion() in our sample mfcapp.
can we control meshing?

well, mfcapp sample has triangulation params option menu. you can set step angle for surfaces like cylinder\surface\cone and number of mesh isolines between nurbsurface knots.
