we use the borland libs and build on windows xp. with dd1.13 our autocad import and export worked fine on other windows os's - me, 2000, 98.
now that we use dd2.2 (same with 2.3) our import, export fails on the older os's. on 2000, the import works ok with pre-2007 files, but traps reading a 2007 .dwg, export always shows a "write error".
any idea what might cause (or fix ) this os incompatability issue?
since dd 2.0 texts at run-time are stored in unicode (like they are stored in dwg 2007).
the difference between new and old windows may be abcense of unicode support. this can resolved by installing unicode support on old windows.

how does one "install unicode support" on windows 98, 2000 or me?
