dwf tolerances
dwf tolerances hello, my dwf viewer based on the 2.4.02 libraries works well (after importing) in displaying standard autocad geometric tolerances which i believe reside in the gdt.shx file but cannot display the e and r symbols inside a circle. are these inventor tolerances or do they belong to a special .shx file? how can i display these symbols correctly? i also found that the tolerance symbols that can be displayed by the application correctly in one computer shows as lower case characters in another computer. for example, the symbol for phi is shown as the letter n, parallelogram as c, left-right arrow as the # sign, etc. is the correct importing of dwf files dependent on whether certain fonts are resident in a particular computer? many thanks... last edited by robertpantangco@hotmail.com; 9th march 2009 at 03:31 amfff">. reason: additional info the symbols used in tolerance entities are defined in gdt.shx they may be displayed or not depending on the font file available. if where is no correct font than a default one is used which may miss some characters or have different encoding. a sample file you have problems with would be helpful. btw, dwf or dwg? :-) sergey slezkin sergey, i have found that some but not all problems are resolved if certain .ttf fonts are present in the windows/fonts directory. for example, aigdt___.ttf which is an autocad ttf file. is there a site where all these extra fonts are available for downloading? thanks |
