it looks pretty good so far. i've got a couple files throwing exceptions, but i don't want to cast blame yet. if i find that the problem really is in the sdk, how should that information be passed to you and the other fine folks at oda?

so far i've only compiled the odexcopy demo but with that i've been able to convert every 2d acad 2007 file that i've tried back into autocad 2000 format with no apparent problems. most of the files that i tried are admittedly fairly similar to each other, but so far, so good.

update...
all looks good here. the exceptions i was encountering were my fault (i had left out the "recomputedimblock" in the static module map). i threw a pile of 2007 dwg files at it and each one came in nicely.

i know you must have been asked this question a million times but now that an alpha version is out, do you have an estimate of when an official release will be available?
does this mean that there would not be another dot release of 1.14 with bug fixes?

ac1018 loading times

i had post a problem in this forum about loading times inside readfile function:
the ac1018 takes much longer loading time than the ac1015 in mac xcode2.2 gcc4 libs (about 10 times). sergey slezkin , in this forum, says that in windows version it works well.
is that a mac problem?
i hope that something will be done in the new mac libs...

2.0.1 is now available via ftp. it contains fixes for a number of problems that were found in the 2.0.0 release, and it also contains linux, mac, and solaris binaries.
the mac performance problem mentioned in this thread has been fixed.
2.0.1 is still a beta.
