error while including "dbpolyline.h"
hi all,
i've developed an mfc application for viewing and processing dwg files using dwgdirect 1.11.01.
for retrieve the coordinates for acdbpolyline entity, i included the header file 'dbpolyline.h' for getting the oddbpolylineptr, it show the following error.
ex\db2dpolyline.h(60) : error c2555: 'oddb2dpolyline::setcolor' : overriding virtual function differs from 'oddbentity::setcolor' only by return type or calling convention
ex\dbentity.h(49) : see declaration of 'oddbentity'
ex\db2dpolyline.h(69) : error c2555: 'oddb2dpolyline::setcolorindex' : overriding virtual function differs from 'oddbentity::setcolorindex' only by return type or calling convention
ex\dbentity.h(49) : see declaration of 'oddbentity'
ex\db2dpolyline.h(71) : error c2555: 'oddb2dpolyline::settransparency' : overriding virtual function differs from 'oddbentity::settransparency' only by return type or calling convention

can anyone say the solution for this.

do you include odacommon.h as first dd include file to your cpp-file?

even i included 'odacommon.h', its still showing the same errors.

which compiler do you use?
i think, msvc, then which version?

yes, i'm using microsoft visual c++ 6.0 compiler...

it seems you are using mixed headers from 1.10 and 1.11.
oddbentity.h from one version and db2dpolyline.h from another.
between 1.10 and 1.11 return value of listed functions changed from void to odresult.

lib or dll configuration of dd? debug or release? are precompiled headers enabled? did you try rebuild all?

or maybe you need to clean up precompiled headers. try rebuild all.

yes, problem was solved. you are right. this is because of the header file version conflict. i used both 1.11.0 and 1.11.01. now the problem was solved.
