getting effectiveplotstyle()

hello.
what actions do i have to take before calling "effectiveplotstyle()" in my own class derived from "odgsbasevectorizeview"? now this function asserts and throw exception with description "invalid index". i'm trying to figure it out for a long time and i'm out of ideas already.
i hope someone cal help me.
if i acces directly variable "m_effectiveplotstyle" application don't crash but all lineweights are set as "-1".
