how does a pline get vectorized?
how does a pline get vectorized? i've been wondering how does a pline gets vectorize in the new version of dwgdirect. i have a sample file with just one pline that forms a rectangle; that means a pline with 4 vertices where the last and first ones are the same. when i run odvectorizeex on the file i get 3 separate polylines; each with two points only. it does not look too effective. is that how it is supposed to work? is there a way to change it? thanks arno歵 does anybody know a solution to this problem? receiving plines split into lines (2-pnt polylines) is so far a major drawback for us (my company) after switching from 1.09 to 1.10 version. when a pline gets split, not only it is very ineffective to store but is also incorrectly displayed if the entity happens to have a non zero width. i realize i could probably override odgsbasevectorizeview:line() like i did in 1.09 but now there is (seems to) a lot going on between that function and the final polylineproc. at least the linetype must be resolved, and also transformations, and clipping probably too, and i do not know what possibly else. generally, i do not have problem with writing the function but could anybody tell me what to do to a pline before i send it to gigeometrysimplifier? please. any suggestions appreciated thanks a lot arno歵 |
