i want to modify database but not save changes
i want to modify database but not save changes the answer to my question might be obvious, but i am just starting with dwgdirect and it isn't obvious to me (yet). my application is a viewer. autocad data, as well as other types of data, are displayed in together on the same screen. certain aspects of the autocad data may be modified, but only for display purposes. for example, layers may be turned on and off. we do not want to save any of these changes to the autocad file. just now (having just gotten the autocad data to display for the first time), i noticed that the background color of the file is now the same as the background color as set in our application. in other words, one of the changes made in the process of displaying the file was saved into the file when i exited our application. thanks for any help that anyone can provide. background color is not stored in dwg/dxf files at all. database won't be saved to dwg file until you call oddbdatabase::writefile(). sincerely yours, george udov |
