plot validator
plot validator hello, i am using the plot validator for v2.5.0 for setting up plot information. why is it that when using plot to fit, using kdisplay leaves a lot of empty space on the paper while using kextents fills the paper better? thanks kdisplay plots the view in the current viewport in the model tab or in the current paper space view in a layout tab. so if you select fit to paper also, it will scale view window to paper, not extents of geometry from display. alexander, i understand what you are saying but if have already zoomed extents to the display, and plotted using kdisplay and plot to fit, the plot using kextents and plot to fit should be pretty similar correct? after all, the entire geometry is already in the display window with little whitespace. you would expect trying to fit this in the same paper size would yield identical results. in my understanding... both modes would have similar results, if you draw rectangle around view (inside viewport window). results shouldn't be equal in case of zoomed drawing & kdisplay. for example your display window width > height, a4 paper orientation is h > w and drawing extents h > w. plot will be fitted to window w (kdisplaymode) or to drawing extents h (kextents). screen shots\attachments will be very helpfull as additional notes to your question. |
