in the opendwg toolkit there was a variable, fillmodefff">, in the header information that specified whether or not certain entities were filled or just outlined.
how do i get at this information in dwgdirect?

got it...
oddbdatabase::getfillmode();
see odreadex\dbdumper.cpp for other header information that was left out of dwgdirect.chm (dwgdirect reference) .
