poor performance in vectorization process
poor performance in vectorization process hello, we are currently developping a software application (cable documentation) in java with a cartographic package. we had already shape, mid-mif, dxf, ecw... readers. now we're trying to include a dwg reader. i use native calls to manage a dll built from your framework. i works fine... except the poor performance. it is of course the same with yours sample applications. i read that you forecast to implement caching facilities in your next version (1.13). when do you plan to release that version? thank you for your help, sylvain desplat 1.13 is expected by the end of march. but general purpose visualization code is always slower than an implementation with limited functionality (for example viewer which displays constant (not being modified) drawing. we have opengl device with cache sample which stores gl lists and uses them for redraws. 2 other samples devices perform full regen per each redraw. btw, if you have fast dxf rendering code you can use dwgdirect to convert dwg to dxf... sergey slezkin |
