update after freezing a layer ?

hello,
why the function "setisoff" to sets the on / off layers do not the same as the function "setisfrozen".
in the odamfcapp sample if we we a frozen layer, this layer is hidden but when we change its stat, it's stay hidden. an update of the device is not enough to redraw the layers correctly.
we can display the right result by creating a new device but is there an other way to do that?
