a quick one: i am making an allo
a quick one:
i am making an allowance for a sprinkler load that will be supported from the roof. i am thinking of using 5 psf. does this seem reasonable in the absence of a complete sprinkler design and layout? the facility is single story golf clubhouse.

sounds reasonable to me. i typically use 3 or 4 psf for similar sprinkler loads.
did a steel pre-eng building a couple of years ago, and they missed out the sprinkler loadings... they used 3 psf...
