a514 steel grades welding
 

a514 steel grades & welding
hi, i am designing a keel for a racing sailboat, specifying astm a514 steel. i see that there are a number of grades available. how do they differ and which is best for the application?
also, what would be the best weld rod, for welding, a514 to a514 plate (1/2" typ)
a514 to nitronic 50 stainless steel, annealed. the bolts will be nitronic 50.
