aashto 10.48.8.2 for steel girder design
how do you guys interpret aashto 10.48.8.2? merlin-dash and mdx have different interpretation of that code.
merlin-dash use max moment and max shear to check that code. mdx does not check that code, but their tech support says they will use max moment and concurrent shear for that equation. i sent an email to some aashto committee directors to comment on this code. nobody even bother drops me an email. what do you think?
