aisc design guide 15 is the current resource for information on historic structural shapes. it is an update and enlargement of a 1953 aisc publication (iron and steel beams, 1873 to 1952). a friend has given me a copy of the 1953 book. after extensive checking, it appears that the 1953 book is in the public domain... so i have posted the zipped, .pdf file on this page of my website:
