anchor rod material
i'm looking at the 3rd ed. lrfd at the preferred material specification for anchor rods (pg. 2-26), and i see f1554 gr. 36. quiet frankly, i havent heard of that spec. i've been calling out a36 anchor rods. what has everyone else been doing, and is f1554 common in all fabricatiors shops now? f1554 is a relatively new material spec. check out this article from modern steel construction, march, 1999: good job, mattman! excellent info, mattman. change the last url reference to contentid=2587 instead of 2585 to get all three of the series. (shapes, plates, bolts) so have you guys been calling out a36 rods or f1554? i usually have a note that says all miscellaneous steel to be a36, but i guess that should change, no? we've normally specified a36. the f1554 is new to me. |
