is there a british standard or otherwise for beam end connectors, or do each fabricator have their own

the british steelwork association has a few publications on simple and moment connections for the ends of beams. you can view these publications on the web site attached
the bcsa also has a very comprehensive manual on connections in 2 volumes - volume 1 for simple connections and volume 2 for moment connections with capacity tables etc. though mine is a bit old and has the tables for grade 43 steel only.
