does anyone know of a simple printed method of designing braced frames-texts, manuals, etc?
check out our whitepaper library.
what type of braced frame? eccentric, concentric, cross braced or k brace?
check out aisc design guide 5 - it has a section on bracing.
if it is a seismic area then you need to check out the seismic specs also.

wow, those are helpful, but really expensive spreadsheets. as csd72 said, aisc design guide is good.
