bridgepedestrian railing

bridge/pedestrian railing
i was looking for ideas for railing that could be used on an 1-story elevated parking platform. i am trying to avoid a concrete wall/spandrel due to client preferences. i have not found any fabricators of bridge railing that could suit my needs. most state dot drawings only indicate concrete railing (that being that it is crashed tested).
thanks
before "new jersy barrier" became the standard for highway bridges in the 1970's, quite a number of nice looking, heavy duty aluminium alloy handrail designs were available and used on bridges by state dots. i doubt if these are still manufactured
here is one list of potential sources:
in the uk, motorway and trunk road bridge parapets are steel or, more commonly, aluminium. i don't know which european parapet manufacturers also sell in the usa (i assume from your mention of state dot drawings that you are in the usa).
there are several types of metal barriers, which are still being used. all of these are crah tested and fulfill aashto design criteria.
nys dot (and other states as well)provides all standard drawings on line.
