cantilevered column system - concrete
folks,
does anyone have experience designing cantilevered column systems? i am designing a two story building with cantilevered columns providing lateral resistance in one direction and moment frames in the other direction. it is a seismic zone (sdc "d").
what are the detailing requirements for these columns? are there any specific detailing requirements at the beam-column joint?
any references, design examples will be helpful.
