hi
i am checking double angle shear connection. i have staggered bolt pattern. the beam is w 14x22. it has 4 in cope and depth of cope is 1.25 in. in angle, the first bolt is located at 1.5 in (edge distance) from angle and in beam the bolt is at 3 in (edge distance) from angle. the angle thickness is 5/16 in. it has 3 rows of bolts. what is the shear capacity of this connection. can i use same table 10.1 from aisc book and to check beam web available strength - what edge distance i have use in that table?
