the national highway institute sells a collection of seven manuals [used to be $100]containing excellent examples for the various eq analyses.
if your structure can be analyzed by the uniform load method or single mode response it's fairly straight forward; just follow the instructions in the aashto standard specifications.
also note that there used to be an example of a multi-span, simple beam bridge in the commentary. you may have to look back several years.
