experience with colloidal silica to reduce permeability?
i'm considering using colloidal silica applied as a curing agent to reduce the potential for vapour transmission through a slab on grade.
does anyone have good or bad experiences with this product?

i've never used these products on any of my designs, but i did use one on my existing basement slab. apparently no vapor barrier was put down, or it was not working. my wife is pregnant and we wanted a sealer product with minimal voc's. fwiw, it went on very easily and it has stopped the moisture that we noticed would collect under boxes placed on the slab.
