horizontal truss as diaphragm
does anyone have any good design tips for designing a horizontal truss in ram ss to act as the diaphragm? i have a large force needing to be transferred to the frames, and the roof decking alone will not handle it.
can i simply just model the roof using the horizontal braces in ram? i have never used these before.

i don't use the computer program you are talking about, but a horizontal truss works just like a vertical truss, except you need to take into account the gravity bending under self weight. but don't call a truss a diaphragm.
