mechanical properties of structural steel
does any one know where i can find the shear strength and bearing stregth of 44w steel. any help would be greatly appreciated.

tensile: 65 to 85 ksi
yield: 44 ksi min
elongation: 20% min in 8鈥?23% min in 2鈥?br>

usually, shear strength and bearing strength would be taken as the strength of an object, not of the steel itself. anyway, check the different building codes- lrfd, for example- for shear and bearing strength of beams, etc.
