mezzanine deflection limits
just wanted to get an idea of what deflection limits others are using for storage mezzanines. i typically use l/360 but sometimes allow up to an inch of deflection depending on the application.

i recommend at least l/360 of live load. you never know if the space below the mezzanine will get finished out with a gypboard ceiling in the future. however, aci 318, table 9.5(b) also has a limit of l/480 for certain situations. if there are walls framed underneath the mezzanine, then i would limit deflection to 3/4".
