can anyone please tell me where can i get good reference book for se-i test? what are the references that i should be reading? thanks find a job or post a job opening the ncees site may be of help: jae is right on the money with the ncees suggestion. however, don't forget to check out professional publications, inc. website for the se exam reference book. i didn't know such a book existed for the se exam as it does for the civil exam (lindeberg - sp?) but it does and it looks helpful. i don't know how much the young fellow used it but he was sucessful in passing the exam. other books that can be helpful are: masonry design by dickey wood design by breyers structural analysis by hibbeler (approx. methods and moment dist.) foundation engineering by das reinforced concrete by nawy or macgregor prestressed concrete by nawy structural steel design by gaylord structural steel design by salmon and johnson actually any text which you are most familar with and know what problems and where they are located. know the codes too! ubc, aashto etc. i found chelapati's preparation guides very good. the examples, the way the problems are presented in the book are very similar to the exam. |
