shelf angle design
i am designing a "continuous angle for support of cast stome pieces. the cast stone will bear at 3 places on the angle on 3" x 3" shims. the angle will be appx. 12-15 ft long and will also support a flashing system. does anyone know what the influence area would be to design the angle for bearing? i believe it is twice the bearing width?
