i have a situation where a oversized hole needs to be slotted to fit the anchor rod. would you just weld on extra plate to keep the min. edge distance? what do you guys think?
you could check the remaining steel for shear capacity and compare it to the load in the direction of the slot.
a minimum edge distance is not required for anchor rods not subjected to shear.
