soil auger uplift
i'm using the dead load of a soil cone that would have to be displaced by a helical pier (soil auger) in order for it to be pulled out. i have reduced my net uplift by 60% of the dead load per asd load combinations.
my question is, do i also have to account for the 1.5 overturning f.s., or does the 60% reduction of the dl take care of everything.
