you should visit the ubc website. i believe they have a 3 volume set of seismic design examples avaiable for purchase. also, i believe that non-structural hazards are addressed in one of those volumes.
another source of information would be navfac, the naval facilities engineering manual. i recall there being an example of calculating the forces on a piperack or hanger connection in that manual as well.
