vibrating concrete slab
ok, i'm going to admit my structural dynamic knowledge is pretty limited, so bear with me.
i have been asked to design a slab to support a 130 kip press (which isn't an issue). the press will obviously vibrate. i've know the press will produce a fundamental frequency equal to 4 hz. how do i know my slab thickness will be enough to dampen the press?
