copy info from design table to seperate file
our company uses a custom excel design table to input part number, rev level, etc. we also use travelers in the shop that are excel-based. what i'm trying to do is write a macro that opens that file and automatically populates the correct fields with the design table data. and, outside of solidworks, i've been successful. but, if the user opens the design table inside solidworks instead of "in new window" i get a run-time error. being an entry level vb dabbler (i wouldn't make the stretch to call myself a programmer!) i have no idea how to work around this is issue.
