when i issue the following command:
set cwobject = swapp.getaddinobject("cosmosworks.cosmosworks")
cwobject remains set to nothing.
i am trying to use the getdisplacementcomponentforallstepsatnode method to automatically get the distance between 2 predefined nodes (on different parts within an assembly). the 2 nodes are very close together and they are very hard to select with list results.
i am using sw 2008 sp 4.0, with cosmosworks advanced professional
any help would be greatly appreciated.

silly question but is the cosmosworks addin actually loaded before you call this?
yes. i thought maybe the addin name was wrong.
why is it "cosmosworks.cosmosworks"?
the dll is cosworks.dll, not that that would have any bearin g on what the addin is referred to.
