direction of a non-planar face
hi everyone, is there a way to get the direction of a non-planar face? to elaborate, when dealing with a planar face we can get the normal of that face and from that calculate its direction. however the normal function does not work for non-planar faces so i am a bit stuck. any ideas will be appreciated. cheers, --stav. in this world i am nobody... and nobody is perfect ;) !!! --------- solidworks office 2008 sp4.0 dell precision pws390 nvidia quadro fx 3450/4000 sdi answer you'll need to get the normal at a specific location on the surface. try looking at surface::evaluateatpoint thanks matthew, i eventually found that function call. face2::faceinsurfacesense is also required to get the correct direction of the face. cheers, --stav. in this world i am nobody... and nobody is perfect ;) !!! --------- solidworks office 2008 sp4.0 dell precision pws390 nvidia quadro fx 3450/4000 sdi quick |
