modify surface (think floor drain)
i created a simple fill surface, and i wish to push and pull the center of this surface. is there a modify surface feature that allows this? note that this is a simple surface for representation and there is not a need to define it too in depth. (what i have currently done is put a point aways from the surface and i use this point to control the center of the surface, but i wonder if there is a better way.)
thanks for your help.

have you tried the freeform tool?
freeform works perfectly. i didn't know that it keeps the delta values for the points.
and while i am at it. is it possible to have this value controlled by a variable/equation?
thanks,
kline

i think freeform is named freeform because it is not controlled by dims. so i guess a workaround can be generating a freeform which is close to what you want & then generate some curves with intersection curve or 2dsketches & using them to make a boundary surface. now these sketches can be controlled with equations after deleting the on edge relation & deleting the freeform surface as well.
cheers
