phillips head dimensions
does anyone have a standard guide for phillips head dimensions. i'm specifically looking for a #1 right now.

yup, got one of those...21st edition. checked it and it wasnt apparent that it was in there. of course there are 2500 pages so i could have missed it somehow.

be carefull if you're looking at metric panhead phillips at all.
i discovered to my cost that the head heights you actually get can be different in the us & uk.
obviously you can get around it by defining to what standard the screws are.
if i recall correctly it's not even the us fault, it was canada who wanted their heads taller.
somone may correct me.

it sounds like he is doing the phillips sockets, rather than the screws.
i have yet to see a phillips pan head metric screw conform to a pan head standard. what they do seem to conform to is din7985. this is described as a raised cheese head machine screw in my catalogue.
english and metric pan head screws seem to have raised heads. i do not know who asked for this.
