Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Company Name: Wilcox China, Hexagon Group

Location: Shanghai

Open time: As soon as possible

Position Summary:
This position is for a senior software engineer who will work in the Wilcox China team. You are required to develop new features, enhance existing functionalities, solve customer’s problems and/or fix bugs (if any) in Wilcox’ software products, such as the world’s top one 3D metrology software, PC-DMIS. You are also expected to work closely with Wilcox’s software development teams worldwide (USA and Europe), and with the hardware team in Qingdao. You may be required to make business trips to USA and Europe and to Qingdao.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

n Design, code, test and troubleshoot software features based on the correct understanding of the software requirements and specifications.

n Deliver new modules, new code and/or software solutions with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

n May perform software testing and problem resolution for other teams.

n Provide input to technical documentation and publications.

n Effectively communicate with US and European teams by all possible means, such as email, telephone and video conference.

Requirements:

n Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science or other engineering related disciplines.

n 3+ years experience in C++ .NET or C#.NET development environment.

n Capability of the techniques such as Win32/MFC/ATL and COM/COM+.

n Strong analysis, problem-solving and negotiation skills.

n Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.

n Good written and verbal communication skills.

n Good English skills in verbal and text communication.

n Experience in Coordinate Metrology is definitely a plus.

n Experience in 3D CAD modeling is a plus.

n Experience in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

Qualitative Skills:

n Appreciate teamwork spirit.

n Self-motivated.

n Willing to work under pressure.

n Willing to take initiative.

n Able to work independently.
