compiling on solaris
compiling on solaris
what os version and compiler were used to compile and test the solaris executables?
we are using the solaris compiler collection v8 on a solaris 9 box. it runs fine on that box, but one of our customers is runnign solaris 8 and it gives errors on the two solaris 8 boxes they tried. we could reload solaris 7 (we don't have solaris 8) and rebuild from there, but i was hoping you might know some compiler switch or something i could use to let it run on solaris 8.
any help would be appreciated.

sorry for the late response on this.
our solaris libs were built on solaris 7, using:
cc: sun workshop 6 update 2 c++ 5.3 2001/05/15
we haven't tried using solaris 8.
