consistent handling of lights
i can import lights (oddblight) from dwg 2007+, but in dwg 2000/2002 lights are implemented as blocks and blockreferences.
dwgdirect does not seem to convert the old 2000/2002 lights into oddblights.
i don't want to have different code to import lights from different versions of dwg.
will dwgdirect be updated to allow lights to be handled consistently (ie: stored in the oddbdatabase in the same format)?
yes at some point. but currently converting old-style ave lights, materials etc. to new ones is not scheduled yet.
btw, odaveex illustrates working with ave data.
