ecw image support...
ecw image support...
i've been looking into ecw image support and noticed that the odgirasterimage interface allows for pulling scan lines. the most powerful part of the ecw api is that the library abstracts the image access away and can provide either subsets of the image data or a sampling of the image data. this would require a mechanism to specify a view of the image...not just provide the scan line (i.e. partial loading instead of complete loading of images). in both wingdi and winopen the rasterimageproc function does the actual display of the image. would it be reasonable to specialize the rasterimageproc code to handle the ecw display or is there another (preferred) mechanism to accomplish this that i haven't seen?
thanks,
tyler
george,
i think you and i are saying the same things. basically, extend the interface for the rasters and have the rasterproc call functions on the image interface to get the data in a more ecw friendly way.
thanks for the reply.
