i try to move our viewing application from dd 1.11.1 to dd 1.12. but it cause increase rendering time.
for example, odamfcapp (on dd 1.11.1) render autocad 2005 sample file "8th floor.dwg" for 5 seconds, but odamfcapp (on dd 1.12) render this file for 17.77 seconds. it's about 3 times slower.
the same results i get on other files. is it the result of any bug or it's a cost for better visualization?

in general rendering time in 1.12 is a bit better. but in the sample you mentioned xref layers frozen in viewport are rendered due to new dd bug. as a result of drawing extra data rendering time is increased.

unfortunately, new dd render slowly dwgs without xrefs and frozen layers. for example, standard autocad 2005 sample file "wilhome.dwg" (and many other):
dd 1.12 鈥?1.08 sec.
dd 1.11.1 鈥?0.8 sec.
