默认 proper gdt callout for pin at 75 deg. to surface

proper gd&t callout for pin at 75 deg. to surface?
what would the gd&t callout for a pin at 75 deg. to a surface at the end of a round shaft be?
find a job or post a job opening
well i think i would provide a locus for the the entry of the hole relative to the dia of the shaft. and then an angle of 75 degrees relative to the end surface.
the result would could be stated in a feature control frame as 'pos tol dia.xxx relative to dia a and surf b.'
this assumes that there is no orientation required per your orig statement.

the 75 degrees must be a basic dimension and then one could place angularity in the feature control frame relative to the surface which would need to be a datum.
one could also use positional tolerances if there is a requirement for the pin's location and angularity.
hope this helps.

basic 75° with runout could govern it as well.

brandy7,
your specification would depend massively on what you are trying to accomplish. i agree with the above comments about angle dimensions being basic. plus/minus dimensions get increasingly meaningless as the geometry get complex. you need to define datums carefully, and think through your gd&t specifciations.
is the surface at the end of your shaft a critical feature, suitable as a datum, or should your pin be located 15° from the shaft od?
is the angle critical, or is it the location of the pin or the outline of the pin?
are there any other orienting features on your shaft?
how are you going to inspect it?

weavedreamer:
love to see someone check circular or total runout to a flat surface - can't be done.
both runouts require at least 2 cylindrical features sharing the same c/l and at least one feature is the datum.

dingy2,
a picture here would be worth those thousand words.
i was envisioning a 75° conical tip on a pin.
you just conjoured a view of a cylinder with truncated end.
i just re-read the original post. scratch the runout.
