aci 530-05 slender walls, h/t
what is the limit for a slender masonry wall, ratio h/t. aci 530-05 section 3.3.5.4 refers the slenderness ratio exceeding 30, but i do not see where that code defines the ratio or the limit for a wall being slender. i also looked in ibc.

unless they have recently added it, aci 530 does not have a slender wall method for wall design like ubc had.
yes, i am just trying to find how to determine when a wall is considered slender, at what h/t ratio. does the code not specify this.
aci 530 does not directly specify this, which makes sense since it does not give a different procedure for slender walls.

the higher slenderness is addressed implicitly by the section you referenced.
