默认 aircraft cable force-elongation

aircraft cable force-elongation
how does one calculate (or estimate) the force-elongation relationship for steel aircraft cable? i considered using the elastic modulus of the individual wires times the number of wires in the cable, but i don't believe that this will accurately model the cable's tensile response, especially for new, previously unloaded cable. any ideas?

the uss wire rope engineering handbook provides some approximate modulus of elasticity, ranging from 14e6 to 25e6. also, would you be specifying prestretched cable?
also, the wire rope manufacturer may provide some information to you. one caution is that depending upon how the rope is used, the modulus of elasticity may change over time.
