默认 anchor rod in concrete pier

anchor rod in concrete pier
i have reviewed many threads on this issue and am a little wary. i have tension and shear on an anchor bolt group embedded in a confined pier (24" square). my thinking is to
embed the anchor bolt with proper bearing at the end and provide vertical reinforcing in the pier which must have proper development length above the embedded bolt head. the shear forces would be resisted by additional column ties within the 45 degree influence from the centreline of the baseplate. the canadian a23.3 concrete code indicates additional reinforcing in the concrete when proper edge distance is not achieved.
does anyone have an example where the reinforcing is utilized
in lieu of edge distance. thanks

check out our whitepaper library.
in the absence of any other criteria, take the reciprocal of the edge distance reduction factor and apply to the load, then compute the reinforcement needed.

refer to the following article.

thanks for your post. i had reviewed that very article earlier which seemed logical to me. i was hoping for a second opinion in this thread.
