anchored masonry veneer
i am doing a project which contains anchored masonry veneer. according to 6.2.2.1 of aci 530 prescriptive requirement for anchored masonry veneer shall not be used in areas where the pressure exceed 25psf. my pressure is about 35psf. the masonry guys are going to design the veneer for that pressure instead of using the prescriptive requirement? any comments with experience on this issue? thanks.
